Lubawa company plans to introduce into the Polish market with more modern technology solution to protect life and health of soldiers and officers performing hazardous tasks. After the implementation of technology and the start of production of ballistic armor plates made of polyethylene another global solution that Lubawa decided to apply, it covers ballistic ceramic silicon carbide. Its strength can be compared only to diamond, ao resistance can be proved by use of coatings of this type of pottery in the thermal shielding space shuttles. The idea will be established to implement the project special purpose vehicle - Lubawa Technologies.
Due to the excellent properties of SiC ceramics, otherwise known as the products are made of silicon carbide, and the high probability of application is the solution in the near future in all areas related to safety, strengthening defense capabilities, using it at sea, land and air - the estimated profitability of the project is very high.
Ceramics, SIC, in addition to polyethylene, will provide a quality already being manufactured in Lubawa body armor and armor for use in military shells, military and special vehicles, additional shields helicopter gunships and transport aircraft and ships.

Expo 2010
Monday, 23 August 2010 11:20

Punctually at 20 (14 Polish time) on 30 April 2010 Shanghai flashed fireworks.Started since the official opening ceremony of the international exhibition EXPO 2010. The opening was attended by the president of China - Hu Jintao and Nicolas Sarkozy of France and head of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso. Among the invited guests were also other heads of state and government (including the prime ministers of Cambodia, Vietnam, South Korean President, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the president of Armenia). Numerously represented were Africa, which is now one of the fastest developing markets and trading partners for China (attend the opening ceremony were the presidents of Kenya, Gabon, Mali). There could also miss the world famous (such as the popular actor Jackie Chan, an opera singer Andrea Bocelli).

World Exhibition EXPO 2010 officially opened the PRC President Hu Jintao. The exhibition, to which China is prepared to care for 8 years, visitors came from all over the world. At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of China, Secretary of the organizational committee of Shanghai EXPO Wang Qishan delivered a speech in which he thanked the 246 countries and international organizations for taking part in EXPO. He said that the Expo 2010, whose main theme is the city, is a scene of innovation, cooperation and exchanges between different peoples of the world. This opens the door for future cities will introduce a new way of life, will promote harmony between people, cities and nature, strengthen the construction of peace, civilized and happy city and to promote comprehensive development of the population. After the official opening of EXPO 2010 by President Hu Jintao, began performances by artists and artistic groups from all over the world, during which viewers will feel the nature through the use of EXPO highly advanced technology.

This year's exhibition is the largest and most spectacular in the history of the World Exhibition. EXPO 2010 is also the most expensive World Exhibition. China has informed the authorities that the preparation of the exhibition has been granted 4.2 billion dollars - so twice as much for the Olympics in Beijing. Local media report that the real cost, together with the upgrading of infrastructure in Shanghai on the occasion of the exhibition, almost 58 billion dollars.

This year's Expo is also a record number of exhibitors. It takes part in nearly 250 countries and international organizations. Own pavilion for the first time is also North Korea. The most expensive pavilion include Pavilion Saudi Arabia - 146 million dollars, and Japan - 140 million dollars. Organizers during the event, and so on 01.05 - 31.10.2010 expecting a record number of 70 million visitors, among whom 95% will be accounted for the Chinese, while about 5%, or 3.5 million - the guests from the world.

Expo exhibition area with an area of 5.28 km2 (area greater than the territory of Monaco), located on the premises of the former shipyard area, near the newest and fastest growing area of Pudong - Shanghai business center. For comparison - the site of EXPO 2010 is a 20-fold higher than the previous exhibition in Zaragoza two years ago. To visit all the pavilions and exhibitions presented at the exhibition grounds, the need for at least 3 days.

The main theme of EXPO 2010 is the quality of life in the city. The slogan "Better city, better life" is intended to draw public attention to the problems arising as a result of rapid urban development, such as spatial deficit areas, cultural conflicts, lack of water and energy resources, environmental degradation, noise, traffic problems and social problems. Posters password can be found in almost every year of this rapidly growing, crowded 19-million metropolis. Shanghai is now the largest industrial and commercial center of China. Such a rapid, uncontrolled urban development currently taking place in China and other countries. It deepens these problems, which resulting in a much worse effect on quality of urban life. Therefore, one of the main objectives of EXPO 2010 is to develop appropriate solutions based on experience and innovative ideas of urban agglomerations artists from different continents. The main theme was proposed five sub-themes: mixing of cultures in the city, economic prosperity in the town, scientific and technological innovation in the city, the reorganization of the community in the city and the interaction between urban and rural areas.

NASA builds a chip running at 500 degrees Celsius
Monday, 23 August 2010 09:26

Silicon carbide (SiC) for many years was associated exclusively with carborundum - drive, and on the occasion of a relatively inexpensive abrasive. One form of crystalline material, α-SiC, it also has semiconductor properties, silicon carbide, even though not used in electronics as well as silicon. Silicon is not enough that is easily accessible, in addition to its cost is lower than that of silicon carbide.
Semiconductor properties of silicon carbide, however, are applicable wherever the electronic circuits required to be resistant to high temperatures. Silicon or gallium arsenide have failed already at 300 ° C, cooling systems for power heating appliances to such temperatures, sooner or later turn out to be much more expensive than the elements of silicon carbide which is still at 500 ° C.
The laboratories of NASA in Cleveland's message reached to construct the chip based on SiC. Circuit during the test was able to work continuously for 1700 hours at 500 ° C. This allows you to think about using the elements of silicon carbide as sensors, measurement systems, monitoring and control in jet engines and rocket - which is where you can meet with extreme temperatures.
