Master Alloy of Cast Iron
Ferroalloys are alloys of iron, used for alloying steel or cast iron and to modify the structure of the metal. Addition of an appropriate mix of iron alloy improves its internal structure by increasing the number of grains of eutectic precipitates (called modification), or changes the structure of spheroidization of graphite precipitates iron. These processes significantly improve the performance of castings by increasing the strength and workability of the metal.
